About Me
My name is Annie Craven, and I’m running for the House seat in District 46. As someone born and raised in Iowa, I’ve seen firsthand just how special our state can be. I remember when our public schools were the envy of the nation, when we took pride in our clean air and water, and when Iowa was a purple state leading the way on meaningful progress, like legalizing marriage equality.
I grew up in Urbandale and West Des Moines, graduated from Dowling Catholic High School, and went on to earn two AAS degrees from DMACC. I left Iowa for Wisconsin in 2015, but my husband, a Wisconsin native, and I returned just two years later.
I came back because I love it here. I love this state, and I want to fight for its future. I believe Iowa can be a place that attracts new families and opportunities. Together, I know we can make Iowa a destination where people want to build their lives.
My husband of four years and I currently live in Urbandale with our two cats, Niko and Sophie.
